Public Health Solutions, LLC (PHS, LLC) foster relationships between organizations at local, state, and federal levels and community levels to tackle difficult issues, build momentum for change, break down barriers, cut through bureaucracies, and speed up implementation and processes to reach the communities that are in most need for services in a timely manner.
PHS, LLC work to build a culture of health within communities through social change. We aim to do this by promoting the importance of collaborations among multi-disciplinary organizations to improve outcomes of physical, social, economic and cultural inequities; that influence the health of individuals and communities. In addition, we focus on providing technical assistance to traditional public health organizations (i.e., public health departments, hospitals, clinics and community based organizations), with innovative strategies to become leaders that are more efficient in the movement to reduce health disparities, and improve the social determinants of health. We like to call it,” Where Tradition Meets Innovation."
Our clients serve as essential partners for all projects. We work to simplify processes by developing a holistic understanding of issues and challenges faced in public health, healthcare, and within vulnerable communities. One important strategy that we use is gaining the populations insight to accelerate projects and programs to have purposeful meaning. We pay close attention to detail, and recognize the uniqueness of our clients along with utilizing and validating their ideas and desires, while guiding them to a satisfying solution. Further, we work with clients to expand the possibilities to create new approaches, work smarter, manage change, and operation solutions; as well as working toward the common goal of mobilizing a cultural shift toward healthier living. Therefore, building bridges between public health, healthcare, communities and social factors can shape individual's lives and health where they live, work, play, and go to school. We excel in identifying the prevailing issues and creating workable and cost effective solutions.

Program Planning
Strategic Planning
Develop the basics of a strategic plan with on-site and virtual facilitation and monthly conference calls, and a final one-day session to finalize the plan. To raise the performance of our clients to their highest level, PHS, LLC helps pinpoint and prioritize agency and program objectives. We will adapt a strategic action plan to build stakeholder investment, improve program implementation, design evaluations that assess strengths and weaknesses, and help sustain operations over the long term.
Preparing a Quality Plan/ Policy and Procedure Manual- an interactive on-site/virtual session to develop a quality plan for a public health agency that will define improvement areas, prioritize improvement actions, control and align the process, and develop a living plan document.

Partnership Development
PHS, LLC serves as a convener of partnerships, providing project/program management and facilitation to keep the partnerships focused and productive. We support organizations with engaging community, private and public partners to achieve sustainable collaborations and outcomes despite resource constraints. PHS, LLC work with various private and community partners for equitable decision-making processes, establish and strengthen partnerships and trust among the traditional organizations and non-traditional organizations; to implement common goals such as advancing health equity and improving public health and population health.

Training, Education, and Facilitation
Launching and managing a successful initiative hinges on the skills and abilities of those who support their leadership, staff, and field operators. PHS, LLC conducts in-person, virtual and self-directed training to help our clients excel. We provide guidance on launching and sustaining initiatives, and we can help strengthen client programs through stakeholder participation, coalition building, community advisory building and strategic management.
Reports and Presentations
PHS, LLC uses an evidence-based approach of public health practice to influence programs to make improvements for the health of communities. In addition, we provide consultation and guidance on alternative approaches to research design and methodologies, data collection, surveillance development, analyses, and interpretation of data.
We focus on evaluating projects to generate useful information for making agency policy decisions, and disseminate information to its intended audience. Further, we oversee the conduct of research activities to develop project guidelines.
PHS, LLC help our clients maintain a high level of performance by providing technical assistance, including tools and training. As a precursor, we invest the time and effort necessary to understand how each client’s program functions, and the challenges each faces in the design, implementation, evaluation, improvement, and sustaining of its initiatives. Once we understand each client’s particular circumstances and needs, we tailor our technical assistance for an optimal fit. Our vast range of technical support and capacity building services for health programs includes:
(1.) Supporting federal grant programs.
(2.) Conducting demographic and audience research.
(3.) Program development and implementation.
(4.) Implementing health policy, procedures and systems interventions in states and communities.
PHS, LLC help our clients distill and synthesize data by developing reports, and presentations of strategies and outcomes. We assist our clients with writing clear and concise technical reports, quarterly and annual reports, and grant reports. On-site and virtual facilitation and final one day session to finalize reports and presentations is provided.
PHS, LLC works to:
(1.) Complete your grant application, proposal, contracts or letter of inquiry; ensuring that the document is highly competitive and thorough. Additionally, we participate in debriefs with the funding organization on rejected proposals, and help our clients build long-term relationships with the funding organizations.
(2.) Offer private coaching to make suggestions and provide recommendations for your grant application or proposal. In addition, offering insight on why a grant proposal was not funded, and what can be done to improve the grant proposal in an effort to be more competitive for the next grant cycle.
(3.) Proofread your grant applications, proposals, contracts, or letter of inquiry making sure your message is clear and your entire application meets the rigorous instructions provided by the funding organization.
Grant Writing Boot Camp
This 3-day course focuses on the essential knowledge and skills needed to develop effective grant application or proposals. Participants will become familiar with key components of competitive grant applications or proposals and learn best practices for developing a well-organized budget, goals and objectives, and clear and concise writing. The course includes a variety of individual writing time, small group discussions and activities, peer review, and large group lecture.
